Fear is a bully. It will call you names, tell you lies, and try to back you into a corner. It wants to intimidate you and subdue you.
Don’t listen. Don’t budge. Push back.
Scripture tells us that God’s perfect love drives out fear (1 John 4:18). We don’t have to be afraid because he is with us and for us (Isaiah 41:10). The only one we should “fear” (that is, show reverence for) is Him, because he holds our fate in his hands (Matthew 10:28).
What are you afraid of? What’s holding you back from taking the next step?
Here’s a secret:
The more secure you are in God’s love, the less afraid you will be.
