The Myth About Mistakes

Most of us were raised to believe that mistakes are bad. And some of them are; especially the moral variety.

But mistakes can be good.

The’re often evidence that we’re stretching, growing, trying new things, taking smart risks, and stepping out in faith instead of shrinking back in fear. Like a child who’s learning how to walk and keeps falling down, mistakes can be a sign that we’re on the right path.

The next time you make a mistake, ask yourself, “Did I fall forwards or backwards?” If you messed up because you were moving in the right direction, give yourself some grace, dust yourself off, and try again.

Don’t die an expert crawler. You were born to run, baby! 😉
