The Last Ten

“Your head is for having ideas, not for keeping them.” David Allen, Getting Things Done

“Someday means never.” Marie Kondo, The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up

This past week I’ve listened to Getting Things Done and The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up. Neither offered much new information. But that wasn’t the point. What I really needed was more inspiration, and both delivered.

You see, I already know the basics of getting organized and having effective systems. And I’ve already poured tons of time, thought, and effort into those areas.

But I still have some projects sitting at 90%. And for whatever reason, the last ten can feel like the hardest.

Ecclesiastes 7:8 rings through my head,

“Finishing is better than starting. Patience is better than pride.”

It’s fun to start new things, but the real payoff is in completing them.

What do you need to finish?

Maybe, like me, what you really need is more inspiration, not more information.
